We're committed to the safety and reliability of your vehicle. Our experience and state of the art diagnostic equipment helps us to detect a problem quickly and recommend the right maintenance services to help prolong the life of your car … and avoid costly repairs in the future.

BATTERY SERVICE

Common Problem:
Over time corrosion accumulates on the battery posts and terminals to the degree that this build-up begins to drain power from the battery. That’s one of the reasons battery failure is the #1 culprit for calls made requesting roadside assistance.

Recommended Service:
A battery cleaner and leak detector is applied after a thorough cleaning and inspection. Anti-corrosion BG Battery Terminal Protectors are installed and the battery posts, terminals and case are sealed.

BRAKE FLUSH SERVICE

Common Problem:
Brake fluid becomes oxidized and contaminated over time and use. Heat and moisture cause corrosion on parts and brake fluid failure. This causes a spongy brake pedal and shows up in discolored brake fluid. The oxidized fluid can harm expensive anti-lock brake components.

Recommended Service:
The entire brake system is inspected for leaks, master cylinder corrosion, harmful varnish build-up, broken or rusted bleeder valves, worn rotors and drums and air in the brake lines. All old brake fluid is replaced with clean, fresh fluid. The result will be a longer lasting, more efficient, safer braking system.

For your safety, we test all vehicle braking systems on autos with 20,000 miles or more when they are brought to C&H Automotive. This simple test will reveal any evidence of fluid break-down or corrosion in the system. Replacing your brake fluid every 2 years or 24,000 miles is an important safety and maintenance procedure.

AIR CONDITIONING MAINTENANCE

Common Problem:
Condensation in your vehicle’s air conditioning system promotes fungus, mold and bacterial growth that are blown into the passenger compartment. Add to this nauseating smell … the sound of an A/C compressor making a clacking sound due to a depletion of oil.

Recommended Service:
Clean out the air conditioning lines, evaporator and ventilator and then kill any bacteria mold or fungi. Then, deodorize the entire A/C system and the vehicle’s interior. This unique cleaning solution is designed to quickly and effectively remove foul odors, bacteria, mold, spores, fungi, road grime, nicotine oils and debris that accumulate in your car’s air conditioning evaporator with no expensive dismantling! The air inside your vehicle will be much cleaner and 4 to 5 degrees cooler, thanks to increased efficiency.

COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE

Common Problem:
Coolant is depleted of buffering ingredients and becomes extremely corrosive, literally eating holes in cooling system components. By-products of corrosion damage, as well as rust and scale, clog the passageways that conduct the water through the radiator and choke off the flow. This may result in an overheated engine that may be damaged beyond repair.

Recommended Service:
The entire cooling system is first cleaned and then all debris and worn out coolant is completely flushed from the system. Then, fresh new premium coolant is added. The cooling system is also pressure tested and inspected for leaks. Conditioners are then installed to prevent rust and corrosion. C&H Automotive also uses BG
Frigi-Clean to restore heating/cooling efficiency and freshens interior air.

DRIVE LINE SERVICE

Common Problem:
Heat, moisture, extreme pressure and loads cause gear oil to break down or to be contaminated, leading to lubrication failure and worn gears. With the popularity of all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles, this service is crucial.

Recommended Service:
Remove and replace old worn-out lubricant from manual transmissions, front and rear differentials, transaxles, and transfer cases. Install gear oil or the additive package required for vehicle application. You’ll experience smoother gear-shifting, quieter operation and extended component-life, which will reduce major repair costs due to worn gears.

FUEL/AIR INDUCTION SERVICE

Common Problem:
Deposits accumulate on intake valves, injectors, ports, fuel injectors and combustion chambers causing loss of power, rough idle, hesitation, misfire, pinging, knocking, mileage and hard starting.

Recommended Service:

  • Clean fuel injectors
  • Clean throttle body
  • Clean plenum and air-intake
  • Clean intake valves and ports
  • Remove combustion chamber deposits
  • Correct balance of fuel and air in system

Our Fuel Injector Service is a cleaning process designed to flush mild solvents through the injectors and restore their spray patterns to factory specifications. Using BG Power Enhancers, C&H Auto technicians will clean all the critical areas of the fuel and exhaust systems to help your vehicle run stronger, longer, and reduce maintenance costs. You will notice a remarkable difference in your car’s performance – especially improved gas mileage.

POWER STEERING SERVICE

Common Problem:
The power steering pump produces high pressure between 800–2000 pounds, with high heat. This leads to fluid breakdown and failure. Symptoms include groaning and whining noises, erratic steering and pump leaks.

Recommended Service:
A powerful cleaner suspends and dissolves varnish and gums in the power steering system and then all of the old fluid is flushed and replaced with new high-tech power steering fluid for both conventional sector and rack and pinion. The benefit will be a quieter-operating, longer lasting power-steering system. To help you avoid expensive repairs, we recommend our power steering flush service at least every 30,000 miles. Using specialized equipment, our technicians flush out the worn-out fluid and suspended debris. Drive belts, hoses and connections will be thoroughly inspected and replaced if necessary. At C&H Automotive, we also use specially formulated BG Quick Clean products to effectively remove accumulated residues. It contains highly effective ingredients not found in ordinary power steering fluid and special anti-oxidants to prevent fluid breakdown.

TRANSMISSION SERVICE

Common Problem:
After 30,000 miles, transmission fluid begins to show its age as it turns brown in color and oxidizes due to the combination of time and heat. Deposits begin to form around the transmission’s many moving parts, resulting in valves that stick and gears that slip or are sluggish and chatter as they shift.

Recommended Service:
Rather than just removing the fluid found in the bottom of the pan, the entire transmission is cleaned and replenished with the use of special equipment. The transmission and its torque converter have all of their old contaminated fluid removed while new fluid and premium conditioners are added. One of the hardest working parts of your vehicle will shift smoothly and effortlessly for many more trouble-free miles.

In today’s autos, harmful oxidation can take place in just a few thousand miles.
We recommend a complete flush and fluid exchange service on a regular basis. At C&H Automotive, we use state-of-the-art technology that dissolves deposits from transmission components and flushes old, worn out fluid harmlessly away. Using the BG Power Flush and Fluid Exchange System, our technicians
will efficiently restore your automatic transmission along with many more miles of trouble-free operation.
